Landon Alan Moyer

Landon Alan Moyer, 23 of Laurel passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, in Pearland, Texas. He was born Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, in Laurel.

 Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel followed by the funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Florence Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Heidelberg. Brother Jimmy Holder and Brother David Hayes will officiate. 

 He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Cecil McCarty, Bobby Thornton Jr. and Butch Moyer; great-grandfathers Carlton Walters, Robert Rayner and Oscar Welborn; uncle Travis Rayner; and great uncle Eddie Joe Rayner.

 Survivors include his father Alan Moyer; mother Amanda Rayner Thornton (Patrick) of Laurel; sister Emily Moyer; grandfather Terry Rayner (Phyllis);  grandmothers Glenda Walker (Kerry), Rose Thornton and Janie McCarty; great-grandfather L. H. Walker (Connie); great-grandmothers Earline Walters and Polly Blakeney;  aunts Sharon Holder (Rory Dale), Shannon Walker, Lori Brown (Claude) and Rose Williams;  uncles Robert Thornton (Karen), Robert Boyanton (Donna), Timothy Moyer and Stanley Rayner (Janie);  and a host of cousins and friends.

 Pallbearers will be Marshall Johnson, Colton Ray, Kolby Holder, Damion Vera, Cory Troney, Avery Cress, Zack Ford and Brantley Smith.Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Ray, Mike Maddox, Chris Vera, Justin Walley, BoBo Bowen, and Cale Blevins.       

 Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
