When Moselle Elementary students found out that a flamingo had been stolen from the Hattiesburg Zoo, resulting in the death of that bird and her mate, they wanted to do something to help.

The students organized “Fund the Flamingos.” They sold pink rubber-band bracelets, and, in a few weeks, the school raised $1,812.
